What you should know before connecting Matomo.
What Kyras does not do with this source, or does with a caveat. You know it before you connect.
- Regular-expression filters are not supported.
- Over a custom period, Matomo only returns unique visitors if your server allows it.
- A Matomo segment filters the whole visit, not just the page.
- In weekly summaries, the bounce rate is an average: Kyras points this out.
A read token, and that's all.
Kyras only calls the read functions of Matomo's reporting API.
Give it a token that can do nothing else.
Tie it to a user with read-only access to the site. Labels that look like personal data are masked before any answer.

Yes. You provide your instance's address, the site ID and an authentication token.

ChatGPT plugin, MCP server, traffic from ChatGPT: what is the difference?
Matomo's plugin and MCP server let an assistant read your Matomo reports. Traffic from ChatGPT, on the other hand, is a source of visits that Matomo measures. Kyras reads both sides: it counts those visits, and it serves your figures to Claude through its own MCP server.
Can I query Matomo from Claude?
Yes, through the Kyras MCP server. Claude.ai and Claude Code are tested; ChatGPT is being validated.
